Privacy Policy

Show Tracker Web (“we”, “us”) is operated by Drew Traver. This policy explains what we collect when you use showtrackerweb.com, why, and what you can do about it. The short version: we collect only what we need to run your account, we don't sell your data, and we don't use ads or tracking.
What we collect
- Account details: your email address, the name you give us (optional), and your password, which we store only as a one-way hash.
- Your lists: the shows and movies you add, the episodes and movies you mark as watched, and your star ratings.
- Subscription status: if you choose Unlimited, your plan, trial and renewal dates, and the customer and subscription IDs our payment reseller gives us. We never receive or store your card number.
- Technical data: like any website, our servers see your IP address and browser details when you visit. We use IP addresses briefly to limit abusive sign-ups, and our hosting provider keeps standard server logs for a short time.
- Email records: a log of the account emails we send you (type, time, and whether it was delivered).
How we use it
- To run your account and show you your lists.
- To send account emails: confirming your address, password resets, and, for Unlimited, receipts and trial reminders. We don't send marketing email.
- To keep the service secure and prevent abuse.
Cookies
We use one cookie, which keeps you logged in. We don't use advertising or analytics cookies, and we don't track you across other websites.
Who else is involved
We share only what each service needs to do its job:
- Railway hosts the app and its database.
- Resend sends our account emails (it receives your email address and the message).
- Lemon Squeezy is our reseller and merchant of record for Unlimited. If you subscribe, you give your payment details to Lemon Squeezy directly, under its own privacy policy.
- TMDB and TVmaze provide show and movie information. Our server asks them for titles, posters and air dates; we don't send them your personal details. Poster images load in your browser from TMDB's image server, which sees your IP address like any website you load images from.
We don't sell or rent your personal information, and we don't share it with anyone else unless the law requires us to.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and lists until you delete your account. If you sign up but never confirm your email, we remove the account about a week later. Database backups are kept for 30 days, so deleted data disappears from backups within that time.
Your choices and rights
- See and change: your lists and your email and password are on your Account page.
- Delete: you can delete your account from the Account page at any time. That immediately removes your account and everything on your lists.
- Ask us: you can ask for a copy of your data, or ask any other privacy question, at drew.traver@icloud.com. Depending on where you live (for example California or the EU/UK), you may have additional rights, and we'll honour them.
Children
Show Tracker Web is not intended for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you think a child has signed up, contact us and we'll delete the account.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll update the date above and, for significant changes, email account holders.
